The CP rail line was in use and therefore stopped traffic for close to 5 full minutes which created a backup of automobiles that stretched south of the tracks along Osler down towards Dupont Once the train passed all those cars moved north and then had to wait for a green light to turn left onto Davenport. Once the north traffic light was green only one car could enter the intersection because the light along davenport was red preventing that one car from turning left to go west on Davenport and thereby preventing the long line up of cars that had accumulated due to the train crossing from moving. There might need to be a synchronization between the closing of the rail crossing and the green light to allow cars to turn ALONG with a green light to allow the flow of cars moving northwest to empty Osler Ave.
