About Joe Horneck

Joe was elected as City of Mississauga Ward 6 Councillor and Regional Councillor for Region of Peel for the 2022-2026 term. Prior to being elected in 2022, Joe was a senior banking professional at the Vice President and Director level of several large financial institutions and managed staff on three different continents. Joe is married to Laura Naismith, an education scientist, and they have chosen Mississauga Ward 6 as the ideal place to raise their three children (Alex, Claire and James) who also attend school in the ward. Joe and his family are avid users of Mississauga's parks and recreation programs and facilities, and they are passionate about maintaining the excellent quality of life in Mississauga. Joe has a Masters Degree in International Political Economy from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom, a Double Honours BA in History and Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University, and numerous financial accreditations.
